For pure PvE at max level, Demon is the stronger race — maxed Demon Progress adds +2 raw damage on top of extra weapon moves. For PvP identity and the breathing system, Slayer is the pick. And there is a third option most tier lists skip: going hybrid.
The Two Core Races
| | Slayer (Human) | Demon | |---|---|---| | Power system | 8 Breathing Styles via trainers | 7 Blood Demon Arts via spins | | PvE ceiling | Strong, quest-optimized | Highest at max level (+2 damage from Demon Progress) | | PvP | Breathing burst combos | Grabs, counters (Ice), sustain | | Weakness | No regeneration | Sun damage — until you source immunity items | | Farming | Demon Horns from demon kills | Human kills for reputation |
Races in Slayers 2 are defined less by stats and more by which power system you lock into — humans cannot learn demon arts, and demons cannot learn breathing. Choose your race by choosing your toolkit.
The Hybrid Option
A hybrid is a former Slayer who became a demon — and keeps both toolkits. The community consensus is that hybrids are overpowered: breathing combos plus demon regeneration and arts. The cost is the demon conversion process itself: -40 Reputation, Muzan's two-part quest, and re-learning how the sun affects your day.
Whether new hybrid conversions remain available or get patched is worth watching — the original game's hybrid meta shifted over time (待确认: no balance announcement as of Sep 20).
Race Rerolls
Rerolling exists through the spin system, with a small starting allocation — the same economy that governs clans and demon arts. Spend code spins before spending Robux: EVILARTSPINS (54 spins) and Release26 (30 spins) currently cover most of a reroll session.
Our Verdict
- Quest-focused PvE player: Demon — the max-level damage edge is real.
- PvP and build-crafting player: Slayer — Thunder breathing tops the current meta.
- Min-maxer willing to grind: Hybrid — the strongest ceiling, the highest effort.
