How to Play Slayers 2 — Beginner Guide

Updated Sep 20, 2026

Slayers 2 has no tutorial — this beginner guide fills that gap. Your first hours: spawn at Windy Peak, follow the quest chain to Level 25, avoid the cold-damage trap, and pass Final Selection.

Start by doing quests for Krue in Windy Peak — that is the spawn village and the beginning of the route every player takes. Slayers 2 gives you no tutorial, so your first hours decide whether you waste an evening wandering or ride a clean line to your first Breathing Style.

Your First Hour: Windy Peak

You spawn in Windy Peak, a mountain village with two quest givers:

  • Krue — the main quest line. Follow it; it is your XP backbone.
  • Kazu — side work. Good for extra Wen and topping off levels between main quests.

Mix in bandit kills for progression and the Grandpa Wagon and Sarah quests for money — those two pay well and are next to each other. Around this stretch you will also hit your first level gates: certain areas (like the bear zone) and features (like breathing training) simply do not unlock until you are high enough level.

The Route to Level 25

The opening quest chain follows a simple ladder: Krue → Tom → Chaka. Chaka's two quests — clearing Kaiden's subordinates, then the level 34 boss Kaiden himself — carry you through the mid-20s. From there the full route continues: Wagwan under the Bamboo Grove waterfall to the 60s, Jugg in Dreamfall Hollow to the 70s, and the Kasugai Crow's mission list after Final Selection.

Why level 25 matters: that is the requirement for every Breathing Style in the game. At 25 you can start a trainer questline and pick up your first breathing — see our trainer table for locations and material costs.

Watch Out: The Cold Kills

One zone-trap catches almost every new player: Iceveil Valley applies constant cold damage, and you will die to the environment, not to mobs. The fix is the Emberheart Lantern — equip it before you teleport in. A fallback exists: the Black Market NPC (spawns every even hour EST) sells hearts for 10,000 Wen each that grant cold immunity, but the lantern is the standard answer.

Final Selection: Your Graduation Exam

Once you are ready, Final Selection turns you from villager into Demon Slayer. You can enter with a squad of 2–5 players, which makes the fights dramatically safer. Passing it rewards you with the Kasugai Crow, the companion that hands you missions all the way to the level cap.

After graduation your build opens up: allocate stat points, pick your Breathing Style path (if you went Slayer), and decide whether to stay human or chase the demon route through Muzan's quest.

Beginner Mistakes to Avoid

  • Spending spins at Level 5. Clan and demon art rolls matter; wait until you understand builds.
  • Walking into Iceveil Valley without the lantern. See above — it is the number one newbie death.
  • Ignoring codes. Four codes are live right now, and they hand out free spins and skill resets.
  • Soloing Final Selection at minimum level. Bring friends; the 2–5 player squad exists for a reason.
